We do not sell data

Parent or child information is never sold or rented.

No targeted advertising

Children are not profiled for advertising and we do not show targeted ads.

Parents stay in control

Parents create child profiles and may request access, correction, or deletion.

The short version for parents

We use family information to provide BrainBounce101, create educational activities, secure accounts, and show parents progress. We do not sell it, use child data for targeted ads, or make child profiles public. Essential service providers may process limited data only to help operate the service.

1. Information we collect

We collect only information reasonably needed to provide BrainBounce101:

  • Parent or guardian account: name, email address, login and account settings.
  • Child profile: a parent-provided first name or nickname, grade, age range, learning level, interests, avatar choices, and accessibility preferences. Parents should not enter a child's last name, address, phone number, school name, or other unnecessary identifying information.
  • Study materials: worksheets, photos, documents, spelling words, notes, subjects, or other content a parent chooses to upload or enter.
  • Learning activity: answers, scores, skills practiced, progress, time actively learning, mastery, rewards, saved games, and information needed to provide explanations and recommendations.
  • Technical information: device, browser, general diagnostics, security events, IP address, and essential cookies or similar technologies needed to sign in, protect accounts, and operate the service.
  • Support information: information a parent sends when contacting us or reporting a problem.

Payment details are processed by our payment provider. BrainBounce101 does not need to store a complete payment-card number.

2. How information is used

  • Provide, personalize, and secure the parent and child experiences.
  • Turn parent-provided material into study guides, questions, games, spelling activities, and age-appropriate explanations.
  • Save progress and show parents analytics, mastery, strengths, and areas needing support.
  • Provide customer support, prevent misuse, troubleshoot errors, and maintain service reliability.
  • Send service messages and parent-requested summaries. Parents may change optional communication preferences.
  • Improve educational quality using de-identified or aggregated information where practical.

3. Integral service providers and disclosure

We do not sell or rent parent or child information. We do not disclose child information to advertisers, data brokers, or social-media platforms for targeted advertising.

The following categories of providers are integral to delivering BrainBounce101. They receive only the information reasonably necessary for their assigned function and may not use it for their own advertising:

Security and diagnosticsDevice, browser, IP address, errors, and security logsDetect abuse, troubleshoot problems, and protect the service

Service-provider names may change as technology and contracts change. BrainBounce101 will maintain an up-to-date provider list and make it available to a verified parent upon request. If a new provider would use children's information for a materially different purpose, parents will receive notice and new consent where required.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect a child's safety, to investigate fraud or security threats, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice. We do not disclose child profiles publicly.

4. Study uploads and artificial intelligence

Uploaded material and relevant learning context may be sent to contracted AI or processing providers to extract educational content, create questions, generate explanations, or personalize activities. We limit what is sent to what is needed for that task.

Parents should review generated content before assigning it. Do not upload medical records, government identifiers, financial information, private school records, or documents containing information about other children.

BrainBounce101 does not authorize service providers to use child information or private study uploads for their own advertising. Our provider agreements and settings should be configured to prohibit training external general-purpose AI models with this private content.

5. Children's privacy and parental consent

BrainBounce101 is a parent-managed learning service. A parent or legal guardian must create the family account and child profiles and authorize the collection and use of a child's information. Children should not create independent accounts or submit contact information.

Direct notice before collection: Before a family account is created, the parent is shown a notice describing the child information collected, how it is used, the integral providers that process it, and the parent's rights. The parent must affirm that they are the parent or legal guardian and consent before registration can continue.

For children under 13, these controls and notices are intended to support the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Where verifiable parental consent is required, we request it before collecting covered personal information. A parent may refuse consent to optional collection or disclosure that is not necessary to provide the service.

6. Parent access, correction, and deletion

A verified parent or guardian may ask to:

  • Review the personal information associated with their child.
  • Correct inaccurate profile information.
  • Delete a child profile, uploads, learning history, or the family account.
  • Withdraw consent and stop future collection of a child's information.
  • Ask who information has been disclosed to and why.

Use available parent settings or contact BrainBounce101. We may verify that the requester is the parent or account owner before completing a request. Deletion may take up to 30 days, with limited backups or records retained longer when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or financial recordkeeping.

7. Retention and security

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain required records, resolve disputes, and protect the platform. Child information is not kept indefinitely without a continuing purpose.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so parents should use a strong, unique password and keep the parent PIN private. Contact us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.

8. Other important information

  • Public areas: Child profiles, study uploads, and learning history are private by default. Parents should not post identifying child information in any optional community feature.
  • External links: Other websites and services have their own privacy practices. Review them before providing information.
  • Changes: We may update this notice as the service or law changes. Material changes affecting children's information will be communicated to parents and, where required, new consent will be requested.
  • United States: BrainBounce101 is operated for users in the United States. Information may be processed where contracted providers operate, subject to appropriate protections.
